Wishlist
Y’know what I want? I want to be able to click anything, anywhere, and add it to my amazon.com wishlist. (Note that that is a link to a Google Search on the term “amazon wishlist” and not another shameless plug for my own wishlist.) Like this pendrive, f’rinstance. What a great little toy! I want one. I really, really want one. But I don’t have the cash right now to buy one. And I don’t want to forget about. Is someone at amazon working on this? Dan? I’d think they’d be all over that. Click here, click there, click anywhere. I’m not even restricting this to the web, either. I want to be able to click on a CD at my friend’s house and add it to my wishlist, too. I want to be able to click without, say, having to be sitting at my computer. Dig? Is someone working on that?

You Never Give Me Your Money
Do you have sticky notes on your monitor? Post-It© notes? Of course you do. Here’s a good one for you. Write it on a Post-It and place it on the edge of your screen so you can see it all day. If you work for the federal government, get it tattooed on your forehead.
Insufficient Resources <> Inefficient Use of Resources
I heard for the umpteenth time this morning a representative of my government using the phrase “insufficient resources” to explain why his department was incompetent. In this instance it was the head of INS and he was telling dear NPR listeners that his IT department wasn’t capable of handling the new stresses of post-September 11 security because of “insufficient resources”.

What Is David?
This is quite funny. From Robyn came the idea to do a Google search on “David is“.
Here are the top ten eleven things David is, according to Google:
- David is … the devil.
- David is … burning.
- David is … triumphant over Goliath.
- David is … currently a hot property in the character actor business.
- David is … science editor for Parade Magazine, and writes the column “Science on Parade.”
- David is … currently hard at work, creating another sonic universe for Ascension, Karim Hussain’s upcoming feature film.
- David is … kind to Mephibosheth.
- David is … the symbol most commonly associated with Judaism today.
- David is … presently on secondment to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), where he is Director of the Information Technology Office.
- David is … a big WWF and WCW fan and enjoys the company of Kevin Nash.
- David is … considered by peers to be the world’s leading authority on raw food nutrition.

My Sisters
I just cannot believe this. It is not every day that you get a chance to photograph the two most beautiful girls on the planet. It was terrific fun to get to visit with both of them last weekend. Of course I didn’t get to be with them as much as I wanted - and I probably never will - but for the short time we got to spend together I was just captivated. I love them both so much that it hurts. I love them and I miss them and I hope that I get to be with them again soon. (Click the thumbnail for a larger image.)

HideOutlook
Trust me. You want to go get HideOutlook from r2 studios. This little app is great! It lets you minimize Outlook to the system tray instead of the taskbar. Click the icon in the systray and Outlook pops open or closed; right-click it and you can create new email messages, appointments, etc. Very hep. And it’s free!

Personal LAN
Can any of my beautiful readers recommend a good link for connecting PCs? I’m looking for some sort of PC-to-PC software. I have a USB cable designed for PC-to-PC communications, but the software provided is chunkus blowus. (That’s Latin for “blows chunks”, of course.) I’ve been searching Google and NoNags but I haven’t been very lucky. Most of the stuff out there looks like it was programmed for Windows 3.1. Anybody out there running their own little home LAN? It’s got to be possible without buying a router or needing CAT-5, right? Can’t I just do this with USB? (And don’t go telling me to use Microsoft’s built-in Direct Cable Connection because I don’t want to have a computer listening and a host and a guest and all that.) I just want to be able to share files, actually; I’m not even really concerned about sharing printers and / or an internet connection. Help!

My Birthday
Good Grief! I’ll be 29 in a week. Who’d a thunk it? I swear I feel like I’m only 19. Or 9. Something.
I know I’ve been a wee slacker blogger lately. I’m busy, ok? I promise to write oodles more. Providing you with time-wasting internet tidbits and melodious ramblings is my bag, baby. Have you considered how much joy and virility you’ll experience if you buy me a present?
