Mickey MouseToday is the birthday of Walt Disney, one of the most important men in my life. He was born December 5, 1901, in Chicago. He changed the world, and his creations have had a profound impact on me. I truly would not be who I am today if it wasn’t for his vision.

I grew up about an hour from the Magic Kingdom and I have a multitude of fond memories of visiting the park with my mother and sister. I’ve been no less than fifty times. I know that place like an old friend, and I cannot wait to return. Shortly after the turn of the century I moved to Los Angeles and now my son is infatuated with Mickey and Disneyland. We go as frequently as possible, and he loves it.

Happy birthday, Walt.

A few years ago I was trying to determine what cocktails I could make with the alcohol I had at home. I searched the App Store but couldn't find an app that would let me do that, so I built one.
