Coke

The End of an Era

Sunday, May 29, 2005

Coca ColaCoca-Cola has been on sale at UF for four decades and was the only line of soft drinks available for the past six years. But soon Coke will no longer be the real thing on the University of Florida campus.

Florida has signed an exclusive 10-year agreement with Pepsi Bottling Group in a deal that could bring more than $27 million to the university.

I can’t imagine getting a Pepsi at a Gator game. It’s sacrilegious. Who the hell wants a “Jack and Pepsi”?

Cups

Friday, October 26, 2001

One of the things that’s really bugging me about this football season is that I haven’t (yet!) gotten to see a home Gator game. I don’t know if I’ll get a chance, but I’m hoping.
If anyone has the opporunity, I would really appreciate it if I could get one of the plastic cups from the stadium for this season. I have a collection going back to the ‘94 season of every Coke cup from Florida Field. If you get to a game and order a $2.50 (Are they $2.75 now? $3.00?) Coke, I would be eternally grateful if you’d send me a cup. Let me know …

Movies and Coke

Monday, July 17, 2000

The only thing I really hate about going to the movies, besides paying $4 for $.13 worth of popcorn, is that I cannot resist buying a Coke, too. And then I am wired. For hours. I should never drink soda after like 7 pm. It is 3 something and I am wide awake. Got in a great little conversation with someone about the pros and cons of blogging my life away. Yeah. So. Okay. I’m going to bed now. Really. <Smooch> to anyone reading this. Good night you silly fools.
