I played with Photoshop a bit tonight while watching the Olympics and turned some of my favorite photos into iPhone wallpapers. (It’s certainly not hard to do — just resize any image to 320×480.) Here are 11 that I think look pretty good.

Frenzic
Crap. There goes the rest of 2008. Take a look at Frenzic (iPhone version), “a fast-paced, addictive game that makes Tetris look like child’s play.”
Mile High Music Festival 2008
Last weekend I hopped on a flight to Denver for my friend Bob’s 36th birthday party. His wife spent months planning “Bob’s Amazing Race 2008“; we spent Saturday as six teams of four people roaming around LoDo, barnstorming bars and looking for clues. It was a total blast. The event was conveniently simultaneous with the… Read more »
iPhone 3G Bluetooth
It takes four actions to enable Bluetooth on the new iPhone. Click “Settings”. Click “General”. Click “Bluetooth”. Click on/off slider. Leaving Bluetooth enabled all the time drains the battery much too quickly, so it makes sense to only enable it when you are using it, and to disable it when you are finished. (The same… Read more »

New iPhone Screen Capture Feature
One of the cool new features of the updated iPhone software is the ability to take a screen shot. If you hold the home button and then press the power button, the system will save a screen capture to your “camera roll” library. You can then email it or save it to your computer when… Read more »
New iPhone: Day One
Seventeen hours have passed since I upgraded to the new iPhone. Can it possibly be too early for me to make sweeping generalizations and pass judgment? No. I didn’t think so either. The folks at Apple sort of painted themselves into a corner on this one. The original iPhone was just so incredibly, amazingly, stupendously… Read more »
DG3G
I dragged myself out of bed at 5:00am today and played 18 with Andy at Hillcrest Country Club. I shot an embarrassing 63 on the front 9, but an at-least-average 55 on the back 9. (My father-in-law gave me a round of golf lessons with the club pro at Lakeside Country Club as a gift… Read more »
Los Angeles Superior Court
On May 1, 2008 I received a traffic citation while driving approximately 5mph in the middle of a bottleneck on Sunset Boulevard. A motorcycle cop driving between the lanes was stuck next to me because the guy in the other lane had drifted too close to my lane. He looked at me and nodded. I… Read more »
iPhone Camera Bug
The restore I did yesterday on my iPhone failed to fix the problem I was having with the camera. Even after completely wiping the phone and resetting multiple times, the camera simply refused to save photos to its internal file system. I was ready to just complain at a Genius Bar in an Apple store… Read more »
Converting to Mac
About two weeks ago I decided that I was just completely done with my Dell Latitude D630. I’ve had it for just under a year now and it had continued to disappoint me at every turn. I had had an Inspiron 8600 — which was a pretty darn good laptop — for about a year… Read more »
