The awe-inspiring Jennifer A. Gagne, my little sister, is en route to Alaska with her friend, Alicia. They are going to work for the Summer as rangers at Denali National Park. How friggin’ cool is that? (They’ve created a website to record their travels, of course.)

Late Christmas Presents
A package arrived at my apartment today. It was a box of (late) Christmas presents from my little sister. (She’s not known for promptness.) Each item is fabulous and is listed here in order of fabulousness:
- an egg-laying rubber chicken – one of the most amazing gifts I’ve ever received
- Danger Mouse Seasons 1 & 2 DVD — The World’s Smallest Secret Agent
- Adventure Joe Bender — just plain cool
- Nose Pencil Sharpener — extra cool because I’ve been complaining for months that there are no pencil sharpeners in my office
- a copy of You’ve Got It Made, Snoopy, by Charles Schulz, 1974 — I love Peanuts.
- an assortment of Rocky & Bullwinkle stickers
- a Bert Pez dispenser — I really have no idea why my sister sends me a Pez dispenser for every possible holiday, but she always finds interesting ones.
- a wee and tiny pack of Bicycle playing cards — very handy!

My Sisters
I just cannot believe this. It is not every day that you get a chance to photograph the two most beautiful girls on the planet. It was terrific fun to get to visit with both of them last weekend. Of course I didn’t get to be with them as much as I wanted - and I probably never will - but for the short time we got to spend together I was just captivated. I love them both so much that it hurts. I love them and I miss them and I hope that I get to be with them again soon. (Click the thumbnail for a larger image.)

Jennifer A. Gagne
I am back from Florida and have a million things to do (and blog!) but I quickly wanted to wish a very special happy birthday to my little sister Jenny today. I got to spend some time with her and mom while I was in the humidity sunshine state this weekend and, as always, I was awestruck at just how incredible a person she is. Jennifer A. Gagne is the world’s best little sister ever and I love her to pieces. She’s about to embark upon yet another whirlwind tour of the Eastern U.S. and I wish her luck and fun (and safety from bears). Go Jenny!
