I saw Less Than Jake last night at The Hollywood Palace. Amazing concert. I love those guys. One of the songs from their new album is called Gainesville Rock City. (The CD case has a spinner-dial on the back that tells you the mileage between numerous cities and Gainesville, Florida. Very cool.) The encore began with that anthem and a monstrous blast of confetti from huge air cannons at the edge of the stage. [There's also a great song on the album called Hell Looks a Lot Like L.A..]

  This is one of my favorite LTJ songs. It makes me think of when I was really crazy. It reminds me of parties in 94 and 95. It’s a great song if you are on a crowded floor with several hundred other LTJ fans, too.
• This Is A Call - Foo Fighters
  The chorus makes this song. It changes each time. Everything is pretty. Everything is good.
• Stick Around - Foo Fighters
  I love this song, but I put it here because I really like when he starts screaming, “I don’t owe you anything.”
• Big Me - Foo Fighters
  A very soft, beautiful song.
• Once - Pearl Jam
  This is a live version of one of the best PJ songs. I like the intro. Eddie is just wailing, “I’m not crazy.” He says, “Once in our lives, for me at least once every day, someone’s gonna call you crazy.”
• This Is Your Life - Fight Club
  The mod version of Billy Joel’s “We Didn’t Start the Fire” or Bob Dylan’s “Subterranean Homesick Blues”.
• Who Do You Love? - George Thorogood
  I like to sing this one. I’m a cocky bastard.
• Bad to the Bone - George Thorogood
  I like to sing this one, too. I’m a very cocky bastard.

It would be cool to know that I can download songs from Less Than Jake’s album Pezcore for $.99 / ea at eMusic. It would be if you couldn’t get the entire album for free everywhere else on the net. Whatever. You don’t even care, do you?

Just so everyone remembers:
I’ll be flying from JAX at 1140 EST on 2000.04.13 and landing at LAX at 1545 PST. The other way is leaving LAX at 1152 PST on 2000.04.17 and landing in JAX at 1605 EST, with a one-hour layover in Dallas.
Jenny and I will be at the Less Than Jake concert at the Brick City Music Hall on 2000.04.22
I have two extra tickets if anyone wants to go see the best performers ever. They put on such a great show that I would go see them once a weekend if I could.
I finally got the two LTJ posters I ordered from Speed a few weeks ago.
ps: listening to Sheryl Crow and the Eagles and Blink 182 and Alanis and Less Than Jake on the changer to try and get Kurt out of my brain.
