Lucy Holden of Rowling’s publishers Bloomsbury said: “We don’t want to spoil the title but it has been hinted at on Rowling’s website, and we can now confirm the title will be Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.”
The fifth book, “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix“, sold 1.77 million copies on its first day last year.
It sold almost five times as much as the first day sales for the fourth in the saga, “Harry Potter and the Goblet Of Fire“, which was itself the fastest-selling book in history on its first weekend of publication in July 2000.
I have yet to read one of these things, and I only saw the first movie. Apparently I am alone in a crowd, though. One point seven-seven million copies in one day?! The “fastest-selling book in history“?! Insane.

OK…I’ll admit to having read the books…all of them. I know I’m not quite the demographic J K Rowling is after but all in all the books were a good read. I saw the last movie opening weekend too. Not quite a Harry Potter fanatic but I do know the meaning of the word muggle (humans with no magic talent). Talk to ya later!
Seriously, you should try reading the books. While they are initially “children’s” books, so is Lord of the Rings….
Rowling uses some cliched plot twists and turns and, like George Lucas, steals from others, but the end result is worth the time. The books have gotten better and better…
