I had a good run this morning. I added a few detours to stretch it a bit. I think on my next trip I’ll add another loop so I hit six miles. I have 259 days until I turn forty.

It’s been more than nine weeks since my mom died, and it’s becoming slightly, slightly easier to make it through my whole run without experiencing the overwhelming urge to drop to the ground in tears screaming, “Why? Why?” or something else equally melodramatic.

Here’s the music I heard on this trek:

  • RadioHot Water Music
  • Christian’s InfernoGreen Day
  • Life in Technicolor iiColdplay
  • It Ought to Be EasierLyle Lovett
  • Folding ChairRegina Spektor
  • Hit the Road JackRay Charles
  • I’ve Just Seen a FaceThe Beatles
  • Jesus of Suburbia (live)Green Day
  • Combat BabyMetric
  • Never Going Back to New JerseyLess Than Jake
  • C’mon, C’monThe Von Bondies
  • How You Like Me NowThe Heavy
  • Under SmithvilleFor Squirrels

A few years ago I was trying to determine what cocktails I could make with the alcohol I had at home. I searched the App Store but couldn't find an app that would let me do that, so I built one.
