I’ve been complaining about the decline in my own penmanship for years now. I used to take pride in how beautiful, in particular, my lowercase e and t looked. And don’t get me started on my q. It was lovely. Truly a sight to behold. Now I am ashamed to see my own handwriting. Unless I’m sending a check — and that’s rare these days, too — I just don’t ever need to use a pen or pencil. Blast this damn keyboard!

Having to complete a form that you know was designed for a typewriter is tragically annoying. If you are a person like me - someone who never rarely colors outside of the lines - any “form” that has a one inch line for your last name or street address is enough to send you into a penmanshiplean rage. So software that proposes it can convert a 20th century form into one that can be managed by your computer would seem like a nifty idea. If you are the smarty-pants who wrote the Form Pilot software, though, take heed. Listen to me. Trust me on this one:
Sales will increase if you ditch the youthful Montgomery Burns as your spokesperson!
