If you’re a developer or an IT manager, you should do yourself a favor and learn about Evidence Based Scheduling. I’ve been occasionally reading essays by Joel Spolsky for so long I can’t remember when I started, and they’re always brilliant. (And — holy amazeballs! — I only just today learned that Joel is the co-founder and CEO of Stack Exchange, a site I visit daily.)
