Check it out: The guys at Answerbag are having an Answer Hunt! You can win up to $2000 for answering the questions asked by the elusive “answer rabbit”.
(Note: This would be an excellent place to post the classic “TheBrad with Bugs Bunny on Head” photo, but the damn fool has gone and lost all his archives and links again.)

I must admit that yes, I did ask him when he was leaving. And yes, I did ask him why he was here. I’m ashamed and downtrodden. He paid for breakfast though, and it was quite good - even if Cantor’s, in general, is a Jerry’s Deli-esque sludgehole that, IMHO, is not even on par with any random House du Waffle in Florida. Where was I? Oh yes. In California. Just incredible. Sometimes, like the man says, I look around and just think, “Wow. I live here.”

There is now an excellent article at The BradLands which very nicely explains how a reader might have gotten there. TheBrad proves, once again, that he is a usability genius.

Hey! TheBrad just noticed that Amazon.com’s wishlist system is failing bloggers. If you try to click on someone else’s wishlist, Amazon displays your own wishlist instead (if you have one). That means that since I have a wishlist there, I can’t see anyone else’s! The hell? What did they change? Has anyone else found a way around this problem?
(with a <grin> and a <wink>)
Aside 1: It sure would be nice if TheBrad had a comment system.
Aside 2: It sure would be nice if TheBrad had permalinks to individual entries.

In the last week I’ve seen K-PAX, One Night at McCool’s, Home for the Holidays, and Almost Famous.
- Almost Famous is just an excellent movie. I loved it when I saw it in the theater and when I saw it again just now I was amazed at how good it really is. It’s one of those movies that doesn’t have any “throw-away” lines. If you haven’t seen it yet you should.
- K-PAX was a bit of a disappointment. I mean, I really enjoyed the film and all, but it just didn’t do anything for me. I don’t understand the tag line, “Change the way you look at the world.” I don’t see how this movie was supposed to help me do that … (That’s a better tag-line for Almost Famous!) The writing was good and the plot was fun, but I just don’t see why anyone would think it was mind-blowing. It was a decent flick and that’s all.
- Home for the Holidays was great and fun. Jodie Foster should stick to acting though; as a director I think she’s got a lot to learn. (To be fair, many of the plot’s inconsistencies were probably the editor’s fault.)
- One Night at McCool’s was a laugher. Michael Douglas, John Goodman, and Paul Reiser are hysterical. It was pretty ridiculous, but that was the point: Very funny.
PS: A belated Happy Birthday to TheBrad!

TheBrad resolves.
This post originally appeared at The Dark Ages of Weblogging but then I realized that it doesn’t really belong there. I only put it there because it was short. Brevity isn’t the point of DAOW. My bad.
