In which I get a new credit card

American Express Blue

I have an American Express: Blue credit card. I got one as soon as they were introduced and have been patiently waiting to see what cool, geeky, techno stuff they were going to let me do with the smart chip that is embedded on the card. The Summer Concerts in Blue is the first implementation of the smart chip that I’ve seen and I have to admit it looks pretty nifty. Like Delta’s eTicket system – which I love, btw – you buy your concert tickets on-line and pick them up at the show using your Blue card. They also throw in a free CD. Cool.

What Is This? is the personal weblog of me, David Vincent Gagne. I've been publishing here since 1999, which makes this one of the oldest continuously-updated websites on the Internet.

A few years ago I was trying to determine what cocktails I could make with the alcohol I had at home. I searched the App Store but couldn't find an app that would let me do that, so I built one.
