Down Under

My good friend Jason was really stuck on diving. He’s in San Francisco now so I don’t know how much he’ll get to go down any more. It looks like a blast and is something I’ve always wanted to try someday. There’s just something really cool about being underwater. If you’re Mr. or Ms. SCUBA

Here are five shots of me rowing. I sat two-seat for almost every race. These pictures do not do the sport justice.

In Which He Posts All His Tickets

I did it. I added all the games to the increasing list of interesting things nobody wants to know about me.

The BoSox will be in Tampa for two series before the end of this season. August 28, 29, and 30 (Mon, Tue, Wed) and then September 29 and 30 (Fri, Sat). The first four games are at 7:15 pm (FL time) and the last game is @ 4:15 on a Saturday afternoon. I will be doing my damn best to be at all five of these games. If you can get here, let me know and I’ll get extra tickets. Yes, you. You! I’m talking to YOU!

Devil Rays

Wow! The Tampa Bay Devil Rays suck this season, but they have a kick-ass web site.

I like Mike. Mike’s a pretty decent guy. I’m even willing to overlook the fact that he has terrible taste in academic / athletic institutions. I don’t want to get involved in an inter-blog argument about this. I’ll just say that the absolute best college football game I’ve ever seen, full of amazing plays and even-more-amazing players, excellent momentum swings and heartbreaking tension, had a final score of 32-29 and not 52-20.

Mooshy

An eMail from my dad: The Portsmouth Pirates Under-14 Girls team took the RI CUP DIV I State Championship yesterday with a crushing defeat of Barrington, 6-0. Led by the brilliant coaching of Debbie Roberts and assisted by Debi Seddon, the Pirates scored 13 unanswered goals during the championship elimination tournament which started on Thursday.

Well the UF College of Health and Human Performance has finally decided to allow Florida Crew to post their page again. If you’ve never been to the site, spend a few minutes there. When I was on crew [the jurassic period] my boat once whipped a boat from RPI. When you beat a crew on the water (if it’s a *real* race) the losers have to give their shirts to the winners. I am the only one I know that owns a red RPI tank top. My best friend and his older brother both went to RPI for a time. I could go on for pages, but the point is that there is no point to this post …

What Is This?

A few years ago I was trying to determine what cocktails I could make with the alcohol I had at home. I searched the App Store but couldn't find an app that would let me do that, so I built one.
