Ten was probably plenty.

If you happened to scroll to the very bottom of this site today — Saturday, March 13th, 2010 — you would have seen this note in the footer:

ten years

It is very, very hard to believe that I have been blogging for ten years.

My very first post was not very interesting. At the time I was using blogger. (That was long, long before they were bought by Google.) In May of 2001 I converted the site to the (now-defunct) greymatter, and then just after 9/11 I switched to MovableType. Then in February of 2005 I switched to WordPress.

Ten years. Wow.

I'll never share your email address and it won't be published.

What Is This?

davidgagne.net is the personal weblog of me, David Vincent Gagne. I've been publishing here since 1999, which makes this one of the oldest continuously-updated websites on the Internet.

A few years ago I was trying to determine what cocktails I could make with the alcohol I had at home. I searched the App Store but couldn't find an app that would let me do that, so I built one.
