Twelve Years Ago
The domain name davidgagne.net is a little bit older than that. But I consider this date the birthday of my blog because it’s the anniversary of my first blogger post. I am finding it very difficult to wrap my head around the fact that I have been blogging (more or less continuously) for twelve years.

Bloglet – Notify System

Well that was easy enough! I just switched my Song of the Moment blog from Blogger to MovableType. It was a cinch to import all the entries from Blogger to the new cms. I have a bunch of template-editing to do, but otherwise it was painless. Make a note! You have to chmod your mt-import.cgi

ego-surfing
You know how the ego-surfer page at blogger has a “do not include my blogs” option? I wish it had an “only include my blogs” option. That would make some things easier on me.
Frustrated
<frustrated> C, I know exactly how you feel. I don’t want to jump on the blogger-bashing bandwagon, but it’s getting a bit ridiculous. I think it would be easier for me to cope if they posted system status somewhere (presumably on a different set of servers!) so I at least knew someone was aware of
