An impossible list

#FridayFive: Tom Hanks

The first two movies on this list fall into that elite category of film – along with such epics as Die Hard, Scarface, and The Godfather – that are infinitely re-watchable and that – when you happen upon one while cruising through the channels at midnight – you will invariably find yourself saying, “This is fine…”

The others are also wonderful, of course. And there are a dozen others that almost made the list. But these are my favorites:

  1. Saving Private Ryan1998
  2. Apollo 131995
  3. Tie: Catch Me If You Can2002 / Cast Away2000
  4. The ’Burbs1989
  5. Tie: The Man with One Red Shoe1985 / The Money Pit1986

A few years ago I was trying to determine what cocktails I could make with the alcohol I had at home. I searched the App Store but couldn't find an app that would let me do that, so I built one.
