So my best friend Jorge tells me that I should call the Foo Fighters album that doesn’t have a title self-titled instead of untitled. He’s a pretty smart guy, so I’ll go along with him.

The origin of the cover of Pearl Jam‘s new album can be found at National Geographic Magazine‘s web page. Very cool.

I completely forgot to mention that I scanned some more photographs a few nights ago. There are a few new ones of me and my dad and one of my mom. Some other ones, too. I can’t remember. This is more evidence that I need to clean and organize my /images directory. Who doesn’t? yeah yeah yeah

AAAAARRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!! — Blasphemy! Poppycock! Inconceivable!

The BoSox will be in Tampa for two series before the end of this season. August 28, 29, and 30 (Mon, Tue, Wed) and then September 29 and 30 (Fri, Sat). The first four games are at 7:15 pm (FL time) and the last game is @ 4:15 on a Saturday afternoon. I will be doing my damn best to be at all five of these games. If you can get here, let me know and I’ll get extra tickets. Yes, you. You! I’m talking to YOU!

Happy Father’s Day, dad. Hope you like your new Red Sox hat. Here are my two my favorite photos of my dad: Porter Square, Boston, 1998 and At Home, 1975.

Does anyone have the ESPN font? If you do, send it my way, please. Thanks.

I like Mike. Mike’s a pretty decent guy. I’m even willing to overlook the fact that he has terrible taste in academic / athletic institutions. I don’t want to get involved in an inter-blog argument about this. I’ll just say that the absolute best college football game I’ve ever seen, full of amazing plays and even-more-amazing players, excellent momentum swings and heartbreaking tension, had a final score of 32-29 and not 52-20.

No matter what it may look like, I did not spend the night at home on the computer. At one point I washed the dishes. I am still recuperating from last night. Okay I lied. I only put the dishes in the dishwasher.

If I’ve never mentioned it before, now is a good time to say that I hate telemarketers.

A few years ago I was trying to determine what cocktails I could make with the alcohol I had at home. I searched the App Store but couldn't find an app that would let me do that, so I built one.
